Harnessing the Sun
Solar energy accounts for 40 per cent of Vaastu efficacy.
The earlier articles talked about vaastushastra in general now I will go in to details. If any one with a proper set of mind and ready to reason it out with themselves about recommendations as prescribed in vaastushastra a proper logical and satisfactory answer can be obtained.
Vaastushastra tenets are based on the four factors of nature. Let’s evaluate them in the context of the four natural energies.
Vastu is a science based on utilizing the positive rays to the maximum and blocking out negative rays that are emitted by the Sun, the magnetic field of the Earth, wind and gravitation.
As solar energy is more intense, due to its proximity to Earth, the early morning rays are mild and positive while the afternoon rays are negative. They contain harmful ultraviolet radiation, because the Sun is comparatively closer to Earth.
All sunlight is filtered through the ozone layer. The diminishing ozone layer and reducing distance of the Sun in the afternoon result in extra UV radiation, especially near the equator.
UV. Rays fall on the earth. Like for e.g. the equator, it is the closest to the sun, hence more susceptible to the negative energy emitted from it.
The intensity of the UV rays affects the temperament and health of humans, causing irritation, short temper, aggressiveness and erratic behavior. It also results in droughts, famines and other calamities. In fact, the rate of natural disasters and violence is the highest on equatorial belt.
Even darkened skin color and skin diseases are a result of the harmful ultra violet ray emitted from the sun.
By blocking out this negative energy through the science of Vaastu, we make our life healthier and our temperament calmer. This makes us more efficient.
As one moves away from the equator, one notices a considerable change in climatic conditions that affect skin color and temperament. Due to the distance of the poles from the Sun, the intensity of its rays is less. People are hence calmer and more rational.
Solar energy influences Vaastu by 40 to 45 per cent.
Wind is not truly relevant today, as our structures are more durable and resistant to the destructiveness of wind. Today invention of Air-conditioners and fan’s has made use of this energy for the purpose of ventilation bare minimum. But in olden time wind energies were taken as threats to structures and also to create microclimate in the houses.
Even so, in rural India, houses are built keeping wind direction in mind. A central courtyard is provided, for proper ventilation in the house.
Due to advanced construction technology in the cities, wind energy forms about 5 to 10 per cent of Vaastu efficacy.
Next Week the unfelt and unseen energies - magnetic field and gravitational pull.
